During operation, the diesel generator may show signs that indicate unsafe or even dangerous conditions. Knowing this information and conducting regular visits, the operator prevents the occurrence of adverse events or non-readiness of the generator.

• Exhaust

Visiting the entire exhaust system, which includes the manifold, turbocharger, and pipes for the outlet. Checking the connections, welds, washers, and joints that are connected for having no leakage. Make sure the exhaust pipe does not overheat the surrounding environment.

• Fuel system

During the operation, inspect the fuel transmission line, return line, and filters. Check the fuel supply system regularly to make sure that there is no breakage and friction with any other objects.

• DC electrical system:

Checking the battery head to make sure it is firmly connected and there it is not sulphated (non-standard connection prevents proper start)

• Engine

Daily check-up of the level and temperature of the radiator water as well as the condition of the oil and its pressure.

Most engine problems are characterized by an alarm. Pay close attention to the engine during operation and listen to its sounds. If there is a change in its appearance, it indicates that it needs service or repair.

Listen to the wrong performance alarm, vibration, excessive smoke, reduced power or increased oil in the crankcase, fuel consumption as well as unusual engine noise.

As mentioned in the first part, the oil level should be checked at regular intervals when the engine is off.

To verify this, you can see in the engine oil information section: "Turn off the engine and wait about 10 minutes to allow the oil at the top of the engine to return to the crank case or the crankshaft. Keep the oil level near to full mark at all time.

• Try to use oil that meets the company's standards and has good viscosity.

• Replace oils and filters according to company instructions (every 250 hours or every 6 months)

• Before changing the filter and oil, be sure to read the company's instructions and follow them.

Oils and filters must be disposed of in a wat to prevent damage to the environment.
